I'm far far away .....

Some times ago I've started a new project.
Merge E2_LOADEPG scripts with CrossEPG.
Now since CrossEPG release SVN 196 the script support is quite stable.

So E2_LOADEPG will be no more developed and I'm busy to convert its script for CrossEPG.

Facebook recently released XMPP support for Facebook Chat to allow users to directly add Facebook Chat to clients like Pidgin without the need of workarounds. They also provided instructions (as a part of their new site tour) for setting up Facebook Chat in pidgin:

1. Go to "Accounts" and select "Manage Accounts."
2. On the Basic tab, enter the following info:
   Protocol: XMPP
   Username: <your Facebook username>  (i.e. ambrosa )
   Domain: chat.facebook.com
   Resource: Pidgin
   Password: <your Facebook password>
   Local alias: <your Facebook name>   (i.e. ambrosa )
3. Click the Advanced tab, then enter the following info:
   Connect port: 5222
   Connect server: chat.facebook.com
   (Uncheck the box labeled "Require SSL/TLS")

Added one single file with all events (all_in_one.xml) and the same file compressed with TGZ and ZIP

Added support for OSCam detection while OSCam is run out of SoftCam Panel / SifTeam Image
i.e. simply adding "/var/oscam/start_oscam" at the bottom of /etc/init.d/rcS file

- Added full tuner slot support in infobar
- Added full transponder data (dvb-s/dvb-s2/dvb-t) in infobar
- Removed Dreambox logo
- Full OSCam support

- Corrected many bugs

The InfinityHD skin for QboxHD modded by me to include OSCam information like

CAM NAME, READER, SERVER, ECM TIME, CAID and CA NAME

in the last bottom line of infobar.

It works parsing SoftCam Panel /var/etc/active_cam file and OSCam /tmp/ecm.info file

After installation you can find 2 skins:
- infinity_hd for 16:9 tv
- infinity_hd2 for 4:3 tv

Release 0.3  16-May-2010 available as usual in my Addon server

In next days will be released the new version.

Added EPG module for Mediaset Premium.

You can get full EPG (with descriptions) of MP channels.

It will use XML data available from MP website.

It works but it's slow (10 minutes to run): there are many data to download and process ...

This is a simple deamon manager plugin for QboxHD.
With this plugin you can enable or disable SSH and CROND daemons without modify rcS file.

As usual you can download it from my QboxHD addons repository

SSH daemon doesn't require any configuration.
CROND daemon require manual configuration of its crontab file. You can do this simple running the command
crontab -e

This is a specific version for QboxHD devices. Is NOT compatible with other Enigma2 STB.

REQUIREMENTS (read carefully):
- QboxHD
- Firmware FIRE 31/12/2009 (and its branch) or earlier version
- HardDisk (mounted on /media/hdd , this is the default)

INSTALLATION
- setup my Addon Repository as described here Setup my Addons Repo
- download it as Addon
- Enable it (and set daily startup hour) using its Plugin
- if needed change configuration files: read /hdd/e2_loadepg/INSTALL.txt

Memore delle mie precedenti esperienze nefaste avute con il Dreambox 7025 al quale si è fuso l'alimentatore, ho ben pensato di raffreddare in modo similare anche il mio QboxHD.
Due ventole SCYTHE modello SY1012SL12L (12Volts, 0.09A) caratterizzate dalla dimensione generosa (100 mm), dal basso profilo (10 mm) e dal basso numero di giri (1000 rpm) che le rende totalmente inaudibili (acquistate su http://www.drako.it )
Alle ventole ho semplicemente applicato 4 pezzetti di neoprene (spesso si trova negli imballaggi) fatti aderire con un pò di biadesivo. In questo modo appoggiano sullo chassis senza trasmettere vibrazioni.

Un pezzetto di filo, un pò di guaina termorestringente e un buon saldatore e il gioco è fatto.
Il problema è stato recuperare il 12V. Alla fine mi sono deciso a prenderlo direttamente dall'alimentatore.

Per me è esteticamente accettabile perchè il QboxHD è in un mobile aperto davanti e dietro e le ventole sono invisibili.

Da notare la presenza sulla motherboard di un connettore stile alimentazione floppy disk dal quale si possono prelevare le tensioni +5V (max 2.0A) e +12V (max 0.8A) oltre ovviamente alla massa GND

La fantasia di ognuno può trovare soluzione alternative, come ad esempio applicare una ventola sulla griglia dietro dell'alimentatore oppure una ventola USB (nessun problema di garanzia visto che non si deve aprire il QboxHD) posta sopra all'alimentatore
